The Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA)
The Pakistan Paediatric Association (PPA) is a representative body of pediatricians in Pakistan, with almost 1,600 members throughout the country. The Child Rights and Abuse Committee is a core group of the Association, with a mandate to promote and protect children’s rights in Pakistan.
The PPA has a national management committee called “Executive Committee of PPA (Center) has its permanent office at Karachi. There are five Branches, which cover geographic regions in the country. The office bearers are elected every two years. The term of office extends from one Biennial to other (Two calendar years). There is also an International Chapter which encompass eligible members from out of Pakistan territory. Each branch has chapters located usually in division/district headquarter cities. The Association also has specialty groups and committees functioning under overall control of Executive Committee of PPA.
