SCAF is a resource centre serving foundations, associations, and other nonprofit organizations to promote education, peace, and civil development. Its vision is of a peaceful, civilized, and educated Belarus society, in which NGOs contribute meaningfully and effectively as partners with government and business. SCAF’s mission is to make this a reality by assisting NGOs in strengthening their capacities and building partnerships between government, businesses, and international counterparts. SCAF is a member of and actively participates in various networks and initiatives of national and international organizations. SCAF actively involves volunteers in its projects, with over 500 people participating in the MATRA civic education project between 1997 and 1999.
