REDSAL is a network that generates, links and strengthens the capacities and efforts of decision makers, academics and members of civil society in the field of security and defense, collaborating with the construction of a democratic, safe and peaceful environment in America Latin America and the Caribbean, where democratic institutions exist that generate policies, experiences and initiatives that in turn impact the hemispheric and international security environment.
RESDAL was born at the end of 2001 as an initiative of a group of experts from various countries who had the vision of generating this space for collaboration and dialogue to promote democratic institutions in the field of security and defense.
On the road traveled in our years of action, we have contributed to a greater transparency of government institutions and the incorporation of central issues in the regional agenda; We have accompanied and supported hemispheric cooperation and confidence-building processes, in turn strengthening state and civil society capacities that encourage us to continue working.
