La Rete Italiana Pace e Disarmo
The Italian Peace and Disarmament Network was created on 21 September 2020 from the unification of two historical bodies of the Italian peace and disarmament movement: the Peace Network (founded in 2014) and the Italian Disarmament Network (founded in 2004). Since their foundation, both networks have been able to count on the support of dozens of associations, organizations, trade unions, movements of Italian civil society.
The aim is to create peace together starting from the union of our forces , common goals, to strengthen and grow the collective work for peace and disarmament.. For us it was a natural outcome and a further stage of a long journey that saw us work together on some themes and campaigns also at an international level (Stop Bombe in Yemen, NO F-35, Unarmed Civil Defense and nonviolent, nuclear disarmament with ICAN for adherence to the Treaty for the banning of nuclear weapons, IoAccolgo, Peace Law Justice in Israel / Palestine, for the reduction of military expenses, for the control of arms exports and the defense of Law 185/90, for civil peace interventions in ongoing conflicts, Control Arms campaign, ENAAT network, Stop Killer Robots campaign, INEW campaign against explosive weapons).
Therefore, starting from 21 September 2020, the new common “workplace” has materialized to move forward together on what has been done and what remains to be done, to give voice to the experiences of civil and nonviolent resistance and to set new common goals . A commitment and a job that we hope all of you can support.
