Instituto Universitario en Democracia Paz y Seguridad (IUDPAS)
El Instituto Universitario en Democracia Paz y Seguridad/The University Institute for Democracy, Peace and Security (IUDPAS) is the result of the support of the United Nations Development Program and the Swedish Cooperation Agency for International Development, through the Small Arms and Security and Justice Project and secondly stage The Security, Justice and Social Cohesion Project, whose implementing partner is the National Autonomous University of Honduras.
The UNAH, within the framework of the university reform that it is currently promoting, encourages the creation of the IUDPAS whose main purpose is to strengthen the links between research, teaching and the University-Society. The institute was created by the UNAH Transition Board through Official Letter No. CT-UNAH-126-2008 dated February 14, 2008, attached to the Faculty of Social Sciences.
