El Instituto de Estudios de la Mujer “Norma Virginia Guirola de Herrera”/The Institute for Women’s Studies “Norma Virginia Guirola de Herrera” CEMUJER, also known as the Casa Morada, has the satisfaction of presenting its blog site, which represents an approach to the effort, commitment and achievements to achieve a new Culture of Rights Humans without gender disparities.

Since our emergence, we define ourselves with an Institution for Women’s Human Rights and we insert ourselves into Salvadoran society from our autonomy and nonpartisanism, a nature that allows us to develop the institutional development strategy of dialogue, agreement, negotiation and proposal strengthens and enhances our capacity. of interlocuting with the various agents and public, private, and non-governmental entities that have the commitment, powers and responsibility for the enforcement of Women’s Rights.

Since its inception, CEMUJER has been dedicated to public service working in favor of the human rights of Salvadoran women, children and adolescents through its lines of action:

  1. Research for Female Action,
  2. Education for Equality,
  3. Alternative Use of Law,
  4. For the Right to a Life Without Violence (Comprehensive Care Clinic for Violent Women, Children and Girls, Permanent Work Table, Popular Legal Office, Reflection Circles, Legal Representation, Confidence Telephone Line),
  5. Promotion and Public Defense (Alternative Communication “Tania Valentina Parada”).

CEMUJER seeks to influence through proposals and comprehensive and viable alternatives to the situation of discrimination and violence experienced by women in the different areas of their lives, for this reason we work on the legal proposal, on the sensitization of public officials and NGOs. , in the diagnosis and analysis of the condition and position of women, in awareness-raising campaigns in the media, in the production of educational material, and psychological, medical and legal advice for violated women, boys and girls.
