Corporaciòn Departamental para el Progreso Social y Comunitario (CORPODECO)/Departmental Corporation for Human and Collective Advancement, formerly the Departmental Corporation for Social and Community Progress of Quindìo (CORPODECO) is a non-governmental organization of the civil society of Quindío, non-profit, with local and departmental radius of action and national and international projection in human and moral objectives.

Primary function of this organization is to promote understanding between human beings, carrying out programs of all kinds, for the development of the human being and its social, ethical, human and political benefit. (Among them, training the community with our members or through agreements with other specialized organizations on the subject to be discussed).

MISSION:
We are a social, political, moral and environmental entity that promotes development through democratic culture through collective action, debate, consultation, community support and human conscience through the dissemination of critical, competent and responsible knowledge. ethically.

VISION:
CORPODECO will contribute to the strengthening of a society, capable of demanding social, political and moral equity that defends and contributes to the expansion and deepening of democracy in all fields of life, prioritizing the construction of human and environmental rights.

We work on issues such as:
– Human Rights
– Against the proliferation and inappropriate use of firearms, against Armed Violence, campaigns to avoid the use of illegal and legal weapons in the civilian population.
– Empowerment of women to avoid mistreatment and gender abuse against women.
– Animal protection campaigns such as: avoiding mistreatment of dogs, cats, cockfights, against the barbaric acts of bullfighting (one of our priorities-legislation, and awareness in the population) etc.
