The Asian Youth Center (AYC) was established in March 1984 in Madras (now Chennai), India, as a sister organization of the World Federalists Movement (WFM). AYC is committed to promoting just global governance by strengthening the United Nations and religious forums. Locally, it addresses the immediate needs of marginalized communities, empowers grassroots organizations to assert their rights, and advocates for policy changes through an issue-based approach. The organization works to establish coping mechanisms that foster self-reliance amidst evolving challenges. AYC also provides youth groups with opportunities and exposure to socio-economic and cultural institutions, empowering them to participate meaningfully in shaping their communities and futures.
