Highlights from the Fourth Review Conference on the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms (RevCon4): Priority Issues for Civil Society (May 2026)



This document lists key outcomes from the Fourth United Nations Conference (RevCon4) to Review Progress Made in the Implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects in New York from 18 to 28 June 2024. The International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) is listing these key outcomes to assist its global network of affiliates to ensure progress at the ninth Biennial Meeting of States to ensure the full and effective implementation of the Programme of Action.

This document serves to be complimentary to the IANSA Guide: Moving Forward to Strengthen Controls on Small Arms and Light Weapons: Priority Issues for Civil Society in the Ninth Biennial Meeting of States (BMS9)

NOTE: The wording of each paragraph entry in the list below, as well as the numbering of each paragraph in this list, replicate the original RevCon4 Outcome Document which is available at here. IANSA has grouped paragraphs into major themes under sub-headings which may be of relevance for civil society organizations in their advocacy work to promote the RevCon4 outcomes.
