The annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign to end violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.
The year 2018 marks the 27th year of a campaign that has grown steadily in strength and scope. IANSA members around the world participated in the campaign under the theme: “Real Men Don’t Need Guns – End Gender-Based Violence,” and organized a wide range of activities.
In 2019, the theme of the 16 Days campaign was: “Break the Silence: Speak Out Against Gender-Based Gun Violence.”
