The International League of Women for Peace and Freedom (Limpal Colombia) is a feminist, pacifist and antimilitarist organization ; We are part and subsidiary in Colombia of the Women’s International League For Peace and Freedom (WILPF) movement, recognized as the world’s oldest peace activist organization in the world, with 104 years of peace activism in 38 countries around the world, empowering the voices of women so that they are the ones who generate alternatives to crisis and conflict, prioritizing peace.
We promote the implementation of Resolution 1325 of the United Nations Security Council and the “Women, Peace and Security” Agenda in Colombia. We are recognized for our commitment to disarmament, reintegration, reconciliation from a feminist-pacifist perspective and the strengthening of organizations at the local level, as well as for our incidence in the implementation of the Final Agreement for the termination of the conflict between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP.
Mission: We are a feminist, pacifist and antimilitarist organization that builds peace through advocacy and political participation of women; promotes the recognition, defense and protection of women’s rights, from an intersectional approach in order to promote peaceful transformations of Colombian society as a whole.
