Mexico: Conference on the international regulation of the arms trade from the perspective of survivors

In Mexico, the IANSA Survivors Network, along with its Mexican partners, is organising a conference on “The International Regulation of the Arms Trade: The Perspective of the Victims of Armed Violence”. Roberto Dondisch, the head of the Mexican delegation to the Arms Trade Treaty Diplomatic Conference will be a keynote speaker and the Norwegian Embassy will be a guest of honor. Speakers will also include the ICRC, Amnesty International and survivors, as well as participants through videoconference from the Salvadorean Survivors and Persons with Disabilities Network; ECPAT, a Survivors Network member in Guatemala; and Global Action to Prevent War in the US. Both the ATT and the UNPoA are being discussed from the Mexican perspective and from the perspective of victims of armed violence. The event will be streamed live on the internet.
